		<description>I got fired once for supporting the concept of &quot;the customer is always right.&quot;

I was working in a clothing store and a man entered the shop.

He was looking for a turtleneck sweater.

As it happened, we didn&#039;t carry them, but our main competition across the road did, and I knew it.

I showed the customer what we had, and he told me why he wanted a turtleneck. I had to agree with him that, for his purposes, a turtleneck was absolutely the best choice for him.

So, I told him that the store across the road had some very nice turtlenecks.

The customer was out the door no more than two minutes when the owner came up to me and said.

You know, the customer is always right and you are fired.

Beth

		<description>Even if the customer isn&#039;t always right, It&#039;s better for your business to say that he&#039;s right and be quiet :)</description>

		<description>A customer is only right until they are wrong.
Right and wrong can not be determined by the relation of the person to you.
Right and wrong is what is fair. If someone is trying to take more than they deserve then they are not right whether they are a customer, boss, or president of the country. Right and wrong can&#039;t be determined by the status quo.
Hope this helps,
Eren

		<description>There are some customers who cannot help but be wrong. I&#039;m dealing with a few of them, and it&#039;s always bad when they put their other colleagues to shame with their &quot;Me me me me!&quot; demands.

If you&#039;re a freelancer and/or own your business, then you probably have greater freedom in telling the customers (politely) that you can&#039;t take them on after the project&#039;s done. If you&#039;re employed like I am under someone else... tahu-tahu sajelah.
